One of the descriptions of the productivity of the Land of Israel given in the Bible tells that when those who went to spy out the land to ascertain its nature "came unto the valley of Eshcol, and cut down from there a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bore it upon a pole between two" (Numbers 13:23). This idea given expression on the Festival stamp with two men shouldering the single cluster of grapes.
The inscription on the tab is the verse telling the " . . . the land . . . it floweth with milk and honey" (Numbers 14:8).
