srael’s 10th Independence Day was commemorated by a stamp depicting a menorah with a ten-leafed olive branch sprouting from its center branch. The menorah is the emblem of the State of Israel. The olive branch with its 10 leaves symbolizes the first ten years of Israel’s existence. The inscriptions on the tab are: "10th Anniversary Independence of Israel" and "Memorial Day for the Fighters for Independence".
