INDEPENDENCE DAY - 8 (1956)
Appearing on the stamp commemorating Israel’s eighth Independence Day is a blue and white pennant forming the figure "8" attached to a pole. The State emblem of the Menorah and olive branches appears atop the pennant.
The inscription (in Hebrew) on the tab read "Independence Day 5716 - 1956"; "Memorial Day for the Fighters for Independence."
